Office Hours: 9:00-12:00 am
During this time of online/blended learning. Music classes for secondary music will be facilitated through Google Classroom. A weekly enrichment assignment and a Friday check-in. Students can:
1. Explore various music genres through singing, listening, videos, and practice.
2. Play songs of their choice on their instruments using method book or music found elsewhere.
3. Sing karaoke.
4. Listen to the radio, PBS radio, CD, Pandora, and Spotify.
5. Share music findings in Google Classroom.
INSTRUMENT RETURNS
All Music and Instruments will be taken to the music suite. The room is organized in such a way (and with approval from administration) that individuals can enter and maintain distance.
1. You will first enter and go directly into the instrument locker room (AT YOUR RIGHT) where there are labeled cubicles for the instruments.
2. On the right side of the classroom is the High School Concert Band/Choir section. On the left side of the classroom is Middle School Band/Choir. Here the music will be sorted onto music stands and method books in brown totes. All music that has been issued needs to be returned even if it is copied music.
There is also a garbage can for empty folders and unwanted school papers.
The classroom will be open regular school hours.
Bio
I was born and raised in Eastern Washington. I received my first music degree from CWU in Ellensburg, WA. I met my amazing and wonderful husband at CWU. We have lived all over the northwest. Our greatest accomplishment and joy are our 7 children. We moved to Idaho in 2012 and have felt at home in this great state. I returned back to school in 2018, for my second degree in Music Education at BSU and graduated December 2019. We moved to Cascade August of 2019 and love it!!!
