I was born in Dallas, TX and moved to Boise, ID when I was seven years old. I graduated from Boise High School in 1996 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a Literacy Endorsement from Boise State University in 2016 (Go Broncos!). I spent the better part of 20 years as a chef in several fine dining restaurants in Boise.Though I love the culinary arts, having my own children reignited my love of learning and education. After college, my family and I  moved to Valley County in the Spring of 2017 to pursue my career in teaching and to be closer to the land that we love. When I’m not teaching or cooking, I enjoy spending time with my wife of 14 years and my two children, 13 and 5. We like to spend our time skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, huckleberry picking, and morel hunting. I also have deep love of music and am an amateur musician.

Hopes for the upcoming school year:
I hope to allow opportunities for students to grow and learn about themselves and their world. I hope to help them recognize their own potential and instill a sense of purpose and perseverance.

My Why:
To be the catalyst that inspires positive change in a young person’s life!
